Laurie!

I would suggest contacting Coker directly and see what they have to say.

Hey guys, a few free moments today so instead of cleaning my house before watching the next Patriots victory I was autopsying my tires. Yes I unwrapped each of them carefully then rewrapped like they came from the factory. Whitewalls are not touching blackwalls.

All were born on the first week of June, 2017. 'Why' 2 were wrapped differently, who knows. But I feel better now. I 'am' disappointed in how the tires were finished out of the molds, ragged material on the blackwall side, wondering if that will impact wear, balance, etc. Probably not but I'm not happy unless I'm worrying being a female et al.

35-709 thank you for that link to decode the serial number on the tire, very cool and very helpful.

Just a bit of excess rubber that squeezed out of the mold during the manufacturing process. Nothing to fret about.

I've been playing telephone tag with Mike from Hyannis Vintage for a week, he's busy, me too.
I just gave myself and my crew tomorrow off. Its not that I'm a good boss, I just know all the guys are
drinking themselves into oblivion tonight with the Patriots win (we should be used to this by now) so
bright and early with power tools and sheetrock on a high sloped ceiling is a disaster waiting for a time
to happen. I'll run over to Mike's shop tomorrow and try to catch him in person, maybe cajole him into
breaking away for a few minutes to come here and see The Ark. I really want to 'start' and 'finish' this
sooner vs later. But not too soon, still have to erect a Shelter Logic or similar here for when she gets
out of the beauty shop. A client on the beach in Oy$ter Harbor is letting me use their garage next winter
for storage, sweet!

Its official! Yea! The Ark will be going to Hyannis Vintage Auto the first of March for body, paint and roof. Mike thinks he can work some magic with the roof so "don't buy one yet". But get the script for the quarter panels, the prices were the same for him and me on line. He's not concerned about the pads and tarp over the car, he's concerned about the Damp Rids 'in' the car over flowing, so I'll be checking those in the next day or so. He spent so much time with me today there at his shop, we went over all the pics again in great detail. He loves the car! AND he wants 'us' in his display at the Hyannis Car car show in June! So psyched, so blessed, so grateful! He's like "you're going to be here every day while the car is here aren't you..." Only until the restraining order kicks in.
Laurie!

Video from in the shop, you really should be on Facebook and be 'friends' with me...

F L E E T W O O D script x2 ordered today from USA Parts, along with hood insulation.

OK guys and gals, need some guidance here - which is 'correct' for the 70 wood, round or square plugs for the insulation? Also 1) is that spray on glue necessary and 2) if it is, is the high heat stuff they sell and Home Cheapo for half the price of the specialty stores just as good? Thanks!

And I called Coker. They ship their tires wrapped like the ones on the right, with the 4" mylar. They're blaming Summit for the Saran Wrap.

I'm letting this go... their serial numbers have them all made in the same week of the same year, 1st week of June, 2017. I'm sure I'll have bigger fish to fry as this "restoration" goes forward.

I was advised to start working on a 'show board', I had to look that up.
This is what I have so far, or maybe I'm done, or it needs editing.
Please look it over, advise me of errors or omissions or stuff that's unnecessary, thank you!

This car is my time capsule, it will never be sold. When I sit in the

My father is driving, my mother is to my right and my biggest problems are

one just like it. It’s a privilege and a responsibility for me to own this.

Looks great!  Well written with a sense of humor, I like it.  You asked for some advice so I took the liberty of putting in blue some of the items that I personally think are extraneous and helps cut down on the size and length of the board which, it it gets too wordy, will not be as readable or interesting to some.  There are a couple of other items that might be eliminated, but we'll see what others say.  Here is a website you might look at to get some other ideas ---

Thank you and thanks for the link, I'll take a peek!
I love using the phrase "cast iron" given todays cars being made from recycled soda cans.
The fuel thing was just to pi$$ off the bunny huggers who may read it.
Humor, in life, is crucial. "You can laugh or cry" etc. Humor has gotten me out of more jams
and created great situations too. Imagine being an American/female/military member and you
need arab ground crews to do things for you and your aircraft.... A good joke and a copy of
Playboy got me all over the middle east repeatedly without issue.

Plus, when you do go to a show, put a couple of chairs near the sign so people have a chance to take their time to read it all, and digest what is written.

One think I hate about signs at car shows is that where they are placed, one has to either get down on ones' haunches to read, or block the aisle whilst reading it.   Signs full of information take longer to read.   And, amusing ones draw a crowd.

Lucerne Aqua Firemist Caddy chairs, brilliant idea!
My thought, and I'm a girl, was a show board that would fit in the engine bay with the hood open.
Yes I want to display that $360 battery....
If the show allows it, I have 2.5 hours of songs that were 'hot' in the 70's. Black Sabbath to Diana Ross.
I've downloaded some kewl images, top movies of 1970, significant births and deaths (Monday Night Football
to Jimmy Hendrix), Horse Of The Year "Fort Marcy", etc. Maybe I'll google the 'hot candy' of 1970 and have some in a dish for the public. Thoughts?

Frame is steel, block is iron alloy.  My thought though is that there is a bit of information overload that most spectators don't want to take the time to go through.  Short and sweet works best, and I know you understand that!   ;D
