Here is some more info on the 1941 Cadillac Convertible going up for auction that Roy Schroeder mentioned in his March 21 post. The car belonged to the late Jerry Karasinski, a longtime Michigan CLC member. He purchased it as a restoration project in 2004. The professional frame-off restoration that followed was completed in June 2010. The car received a 96.75/100 score to earn its CLC Primary 1st award at the 2010 Grand National in Overland Park, KS and was subsequently awarded a CLC Senior, badge number 726. It is finished in its authentic 1941 Managua Beige color and has a Jenkins top and the optional two-tone 1941 Cadillac convertible interior in red and light gray. This is a 3-speed manual transmission car and was restored with the crucial frame reinforcements described in the 1941 Cadillac Technical Service Bulletins for the convertible model. Jerry restored this car to both show and drive. It has been consigned by his estate to Classic Motorcar Auctions for their upcoming Novi, Michigan sale on April 21-22. Info about the auction and more pictures and details about the Cadillac can be found at http://www.classicmotorcarauctions.com website.
