I'm posting this for a friend who doesn't have a computer. This car came from his aunt who bought it new. It's in beautiful condition, but the A/C is not working. The car is in the Florida Keys, so you could make it a vacation when you pick it up! Call Chipper for more info (305) 522-1620. $9500 OBO.
Thanks, Lou-q
Absolutely fantastic car. If only it was closer!
I agree. But, getting cars into Australia now has been toughened up, simply because the Authorities are now checking everything for any Asbestos, and the cost of removal is borne by the importer.
Bruce. >:D
Still for sale!
Really nice car.
Lou
WOW!
I hope someone here grabs that up. It's beautiful!

Bruce,
So... they're worried about asbestos now?? That reminds me of a story. I had a little pet mole many years ago. I trained him to talk. I asked him what his favorite things were. He said , " molasses & asbestos". I sent him to Hobart soon after that. LOL!!!

A couple of the importers to our fine land, now have their own asbestos inspectors that can get the cars through.
The over the top initial approach to it seems to have settled down now.
G'day Kevin,
I am not against the removal of the Asbestos, but having to remove it in the first place is the killer.
Having to remove Brake and Clutch Linings is understandable but the possibility of Cylinder Head Gaskets is really going a step too far.
Back in the days of the cars and boats we want to import, Asbestos was everywhere.

Still available!
Lou
Can't believe it but, it's still available.

Hey Lou : if you don't mind a suggestion , get the A/C fixed. If you picture a Northerner like myself coming down into the Keys (I often used to spend part of my Winters there) , we NEED A/C. Particularly on Cadillacs with black tops and interiors. Part of the pleasure of Cadillacs is comfort. Also , what is the purpose of that steering wheel cover ? Is it protecting the original inlay , or other ? About 50 years ago I delivered a '65 Cadillac from Miami to Chicago. I checked it out well before departing , and found a failing waterpump. Get the car turn key , road ready , if you invite "foreigners" to do a fly/drive routine. Not many of us want to hang out waiting for repairs on vacation. Just sayin' , - CC
Good suggestion,
He is going to look into having the A/C fixed.
Thanks,
Lou
Bump!
Florida Keys....
How wet did it get from Hurricane Irma?
Laurie?
No water at all. Not even rain. The car lives bayside in a very high area.
We were spared on the bayside here in Plantatipon Key.
I would not try to sell it to anyone if it had gotten wet.
Lou
Still available. He is definitely negotiable on the price.
