Good morning. Looking for the stock fuel line referenced in the subjusect. I believe other years and models with the 500 may fit. Thanks for looking!

Already tried these guys. Their line has a 3/8 fitting on each end and the pump side fitting is different. I believe it's 5/8. I would like to see if someone has a stock line available.
The 3/8 fitting on each end is correct. If you are talking about the large pump outlet, note that there is another fitting that goes in there called the "fuel outlet nut" (page 6-77 in the '73 manual) which also holds the fuel filter in the outlet and the 3/8 line fits into that. Are you missing that nut?
I have found the metal gasket that fits on the fuel outlet nut hard to find. I ordered a stainless line from pump to carb for my '73 from inline tube and it was a direct screw-in fit.
I would have thought so too. I had ordered one of those lines, but the pump end did not fit. It looks like stock was smaller? See the pics of the new vs the old line. Note the smaller end on the stock line.
Getting out of my league here. I believe earlier 472s and maybe 500s used 5/16s fuel lines which seems to be what you have, but I also thought that before 1972 they had changed to 3/8s. How about an adapter? NAPA or a good hardware store should have one to go from yours to the 3/8s size --- take both with you. :)
You might also post your dilemma at the Technical/Authenticity forum, I am sure I have read about the different earlier-to-later 472/500 fuel line sizes here before. Good luck.
