Ok, I know they are expensive, but I'm willing to do a little repair and body work to make a rough one look good again.

My 57 caddy has it's original 365 dual quad engine and I'm missing the air cleaner.

Looking for any suggestions or advice that does not cost $1000 :)

Thanks for any help,

Sorry to tell you that anything decent with all
the parts is going to be close to $1K.  Finding
the parts is next to impossible, so better to
get a good one.  It's one of those "pay now or
pay more later" deals.

When you find one that looks "good" check
the bottom "air cleaner bowls" on either side
that hold the oil for filtration.  They are quite
often badly rusted out due to condensation.

Also, try to get one with the chrome plated
"V" still attached to the top.  Impossible to
find.  I know that somebody (McVey perhaps)
was making a repro at one time but I don't
know if it's still available. I found mine in a
pile of junk at Carlisle one year.

Good luck!

I keep this link in my eBay watch list.  Seems like a good solution for a driver class car.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/BATWING-DUAL-QUAD-CARB-AIR-CLEANER-CADILLAC-PACKARD-CHEVROLET-BELAIR-CHRYSLER/171830279948?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649

I noticed that real ones show up at the bottom of this page offered by others, so that is an option also.
