No stranger to windshield replacement but thought I’d rather ask before bungling up mine. They look original and in need of replacement for sure.
#1) Is the chrome surround on the windshield pushed into the gasket like a 55 Chevy or held on by clips like mid 60’s GM?
2) Should the rear window have a full gasket? It looks to be multi-pieces.
Thanks in advance.

The stainless surrounds are held in by clips in the pinchweld area on the two sides and tops.  Front lower should be screwed necessitating cowl removal.  Rear lower is likely bolted in.  Shop manual should clarify for sure.

The rubbers should be one piece set into a bed of liquid butyl on the pinchweld.

Thanks Dan,
Shop Manual is on its way. Gaskets are toast and figured they should come out during paint anyways to do it right. ;)

Sounds like the best plan.  That way, you can clean up the old butyl, have fresh paint in there, and a good seal when it all goes back together.

Great instructions, surprisingly in the shop manual on how to do this. Section 15-16 with some good pictures.
