very rare I have a set.  you  can use 1952 up to 1954. if you get the valve covers for them. 1949 to 1951 use center bolts, to hold the valve covers on. the later years use premeter valve cover bolts. the 1955 will fit, if you get the exhaust manifolds. suggest you watch ebay and get a set of exhaust manifolds for 1949 - 1953 also. They are getting hard to find. There might be a  1950 Hurst sitting in a bone in Fisk Wisconsin would make a good parts car. Think the shops still can weld them

FYI, Early 49 had center bolts, late 49 up had perimeter bolts.

so a set of 1949 heads with center bolts is worthless.

1952 to 54 cylinder heads will not work on a '49 Cadillac because the 52-54 exhaust ports are larger and will not line up with a '49 exhaust manifold.  Also, '52-54 exhaust manifolds are set up for dual exhaust pipes, so there is no provision for the crossover pipe, meaning that a '49 car with a single exhaust pipe would need to be converted to dual exhausts.  A '55 cylinder head would be like a '52-54.  Only '49 -'51 cylinder heads would work without modification on a '49 car.
