I was in the Philadelphia area recently (congratulation to the Eagles!) and in talking about Cadillac, dealerships, etc someone mentioned a fire at a dealership in Jenkintown about a month ago that severely damaged a round showroom building that once housed Cadillac dealerships dating back to the 1960s.  The facility is now a Chevrolet dealership but was previously home to Cadillac dealerships Eckenhoff, Fairway, Lindsay, and Webb.

Attached are a picture of firefighters at the scene from early January and a picture of the building after the last Cadillac dealership there was closed around ten years ago.

I haven't been by there lately but I spent lots of time here when it was Webb, Lindsay, Fairway, and Echenhoff. Had cars serviced thee and bought lots of parts over the years.

Echenhoff was the last Cadillac dealer here and one day GM sent car carriers there and removed all of the Cadillacs. Soon after Bryner Chevrolet relocated from their nearby showroom.

Lots of Cadillac memories there.

So many Cadillac dealerships closed across the country around that time (2008-09), most at the direction of GM during their bankruptcy/reorganization period.

I bought my 1990 Grand Marquis from their used car lot around 1996.  Up the hill and to the right (across from the former Lord and Taylor's) was Jacob Reed's Clothiers where we bought our school uniforms (now it is a bank).  I heard that the Sears giant store at the bottom of the hill is closed.  Don't know what they did with it though.
