Hi all,

Had to take a break as the work load of the 2017 GN, family issues, catch up on work, personal, and etc. really took a toll on my time, and unfortunately the forum was not a priority.  Just got a new girl friend (met on Match), and all is good now with me.  All caught up at work, family issues are under control, and etc.

Thanks for tolerating my absence.  I will be taking on a 1965 Cadillac SDV that has 127k loving miles on it, but needs all kinds of basic work, such as front and rear suspension, steering, timing chain, exhaust, oil leaks, rear pinion seal, and etc. I will write in on a few questions in advance of seeing it.

Thanks,

Scot

Mr. Minesinger,
Welcome back!  I'm glad to hear you are okay.  I have to be honest and say that I was a little concerned about your absence.  It was just last week that I thought about submitting a post in the forum asking where you were.  You are quite knowledgeable about cars and I think you add a lot to the forum.

Normally we would ask you to post pictures of a new aquisition or project..... however I think forum rules prevent us for asking for a new girlfriend.
Welcome back!!

Thanks and it is great to be back.  My girlfriend likes classic car shows.  I will post pictures of the 65 as it gets worked on.  Don't worry, just went to the doctor yesterday and am in real good health, BMI 23.6, PB 112/66, and etc.  Not on any meds.

Hi Scott, I see you have quite a few 1970s.  I posted a question recently and thought perhaps you may have a solution. The grommet that supports the shift locking rod before it goes into the transmission deteriorated causing the shift rod not to work properly going into drive, reverse and park.  Ever have that problem, and if so, do you know where I can find a replacement for the grommet.  Been looking but no luck yet. My next step is checking with transmission place.  Regards, Frank
