1938 V-16 Starter

I'm attempting to restore a 1938 Model 9033 and I'm missing the starter. I know the original Delco-Remy number is 000714. I'd sure like to find one of those. If I can't, are there other starter parts that I can cobble together to make it work? Thanks.

Those 2 stage geared starters are compact and have been used
to solve lots of starter issues.  They may have an adapter plate
which allows rotating the position and matching many engines.
I haven't tried one yet, but finding a 6V version might be the
problem.  good luck, Bruce Roe
