I have a couple of friends who like to say the way I restore a car is to buy it and wax it . I have to admit my 63 Fleetwood was certainly just that. This car was listed on Ebay over Memorial Day , and was located in my town, it wasn't presented very well but with the opportunity to see it in person, I thought this was definitely a "special" car  check out the photos before and after, the car had been in a climate controlled underground parking garage for the last 30 years, It has a oil change reminder from Axtell Chevrolet in Logan Utah, dated 1981, It hasn't reached the suggested mileage as of yet ! After winning the auction,  I drove the car home , washed and waxed it. I should mention I did have to put in a radiator and some new shocks. The date code on the tires is also 1981( the last time the car was Safety inspected) it was also repainted that year also. I keep the auction listing in the car because when I tell people what I paid they don't believe me .  Someday I might like to buy a car and do a complete frame off, but for now I will just stick with some soap and water...

Amazing what a little elbow grease can do.  What a great find.

I saw the Ebay listing. What a diamond in the ruff. Beautiful. Wish that happened around here.

You scored BIG TIME on this car! You mentioned shocks, be prepared to buy springs, bushings, sphericals as well. Then the ride will match the looks. Very handsome vehicle, looks like old money!!

Great Job saving this beauty.   I'm reminded of a line from the famous "The Penalty of Leadership" advertisement.  "That which deserves to live, Lives".
