Hi,

I am pleased to let you know that a good friend of mine, Les Francis (Forum member One Coat) has now finished his 38 and it was passed for club permit registration Friday 22nd June.

Please see attached link for my blog, which full details and pictures of one beautiful car.

Ray,
Beautiful, very complete and an inspiration to those of us that are in the car's country of origin.  I can only imagine how much more difficult restoring a 30's GM car would be when you are in Australia!

If you talk to Les any time soon, ask him what the origin of the front turn signals is.  By painting the housings body color, they are very unobtrusive.  If he wouldn't mind telling us his "trick", I'd like to do the same for my 37 when it is ready for the road.  Also, it looks like the steering wheel has been re-cast.  Wonder if he had it done by the outfit that is in Australia (forgetting their name for the moment).

Mark I dont think they are body colour just chrome reflecting the paint, and as a guess I would say their motorcycle in origin.

All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.
