How do I adjust the brake light switch? It does work but takes too much pedal travel. Didn't see anything in the manual or when I searched here.

Jeff,
If it is like my 56 there should be two nuts on the switch threads.  Loosen the nut on the pedal side and tighten the nut on the steering wheel side of the switch bracket.  That moves the switch away from the pedal.
Good luck.
