<>In reassembling a 1958 Cadillac, Steele Rubber lists (which I bought) four ½ x 5/8 x 1-1/2 rubber blocks which mount somewhere to serve as a bumper for the hood.

Steele Rubber item # 70-0501-42---see their on line catalog for a visual. (theses are not the wedge shaped rubbers)

Does anybody know where they mount?

They may fit on either the cowl, or inside of the front fenders â€" ? …apparently are needed to properly align the hood / fenders.
