Condenser on key switch

Happy Thanksgiving all, I've been going through my wiring on my 1947 sedan and I have a question, hooked up to my key switch is a condenser is this original if so what is its purpose. Marty

Marty, Happy Thanksgiving to you also. That is probably a radio noise suppressor. You find them all over the place to try and get the static out of those tube type radios.    Harry
