Anyone know of a good match in spray cans or a formula for professional body shop use?

I have a nice Tri-Power air cleanerIi just acquired and would like to restore it and eventually sell it.

Have manifold and carbs too, plus a super rare oil bath Olds J2 Air cleaner.

Thanks,

Brian

I tested the High Heat Gold Engine enamel on my 59 tri power air cleaner from Dupli Color that McVey's sells.  It is a very very very close match to what was on there and it covered beautifully.......

Is there a number on the can?  I'd like to try to find locally if possible.

Brian, looks like McVeys took the UPC label off the can and put their own on instead that just says Eldorado Engine Gold!

It is a Dupli Color Engine Enamel Ceramic 500 Degrees

12oz cans with a Gold cap.

Not sure if you know it or not, but Cadillac painted the top of the air cleaner on the 68 Cadillacs gold to highlight the new-then 472 engine.  The closest color to the original for the 68 is called 'Drama Gold'.  I believe it's a Dodge color.  You may want to have a look at that color to see if it's a closer match.

Just a suggestion.  Not sure anyone would really care, unless you're working on a 10.   :D
