Where does the black wire from the ballast resistor............

Can someone please tell me where the black wire from the ballast resistor go?  I think it goes to the negative side of the coil but don't want to guess.  Cecil............

Not sure if Positive Ground vehicles are different, but in the later model vehicles that have a Negative Ground, the power wire goes to the Positive (+) terminal of the Coil.
