parts manual.

Hello Folks. I've heard mention of a parts manual or book for these cars. I'm interested in a parts book for the yrs around 1939. Are there reprints available? In restoring my car I would like to know what yr parts interchange with my 1939 series 75.  Thank you and have a great day.

I agree he should have the shop manual. But... what he really needs to answer his interchange questions is the reprint of the 1942 Cadillac master chassis parts list & a master body list of the same vintage. Both tough books to find. He needs to watch ebay.

Bob: I looked a little deeper in Faxon`s web site. Found Faxon does print the 35-40 Master Chassis Parts and the Master Body Parts List as a two part manual for $74 so that should cover his 39 car. See web site below. My Master Chassis Parts list covers 35-48 and is a reprint. My Master Body parts list covers 35-48 and is original. As you said, 35-48 both manuals are hard to find. I have seen the reprint of the Master Chassis List on ebay but never the 35-48 Master Body Parts.  Bill

Detroit Iron sells parts books and shop manuals but they are on CDs not printed books.  But that can be a great advantage.  I no longer carry my parts books to the Grand Nationals, I just take my CD.
