Hi,

I'd appreciate your recommendations for good parts people.

On the '76 Eldorado I need:

Driver's door panel (buckskin or one that can be stained)
Driver's mirror thermometer
Wiper switch
Driver's seat belt receptacle (buckskin)

On the '84 Seville:

Driver's front turn signal lens
Stem for locking license plate
Wiper switch (delay)
Turn signal/cruise control lever (red)
Bumper fillers (front and rear)

Thanks.

Are you looking for a Mirror with the thermometer or a replacement thermometer for the one you already have?  If the later, I have several NOS GM replacement thermometers.

Hi Brian,

Not quite:  the "black" thermometers (with white numerals) were 1973 (first year of this option), 1974 & 75.  1976 was the first year with the Illuminated thermometer (via fibre optic cable from light socket in the driver's "A" pillar, fed from the dash illumination circuit so it dimmed along with the dashboard lights) and was changed to a white thermometer with black numerals until 1981.

Here is what I know....

The parts I have are marked as for 1976

Both the NOS one and the used one below are from/for 1976

The Master parts list shows this part number as a replacement for 1976 and not prior years

photos below of all of this for everyone's perusal.  If there is still interest I may just put these both up on ebay

The one on my '76 has a Cadillac crest on the face of it. Is that original or has it been replaced before? I'd prefer to have the Cadillac crest.

Now that's interesting and I had not noticed that before about the NOS replacement kit. I've never opened the sealed bag inside the box and wonder if there is a decal in there. It's possible that these kits were also for other GM cars from other makes like Oldsmobile?  I have no parts books other than for the Cadillac so I cant check. My 75 Eldo also has the Cadillac crest on the thermometer face.
