I'll soon be removing my seats and replacing the carpet for my 1957 Eldorado Seville (Hardtop).

I called Nostalgia Parts and Stock Interiors (both advertise to have the correct carpet), but both are a no-go.

Nostalgia Parts said they do not have the correct pattern but were very professional and refined my money.
Stock Interiors show to have nearly every year Cadillac Carpet in stock except for 1957.

I would appreciate any feedback.

My 57 Eldorado Seville is Blue with Blue metallic leather with black carpet and dash pad.
--> I need the black cut-pile carpet (I think).

Thank You

Mike,

Check your body tag for the trim code. Trim code 53 is blue metallic leather bolsters with black & metallic blue nylon paisley cloth pleats. The dash and door tops as well as the carpet are black for this trim - package shelf,  rear seat “V” above the armrest and radio speaker are also black. Trim code 13 is all metallic blue leather (pleats and bolsters) with medium blue (non-metallic) dash and door tops- package shelf, rear seat “V” above the armrest and radio speaker are also medium blue. This trim used a matching medium blue carpet. The original carpet is a silky looking, long pile material that resemble mouton carpet. If your trim is “SO” the exact trim is indeterminate without the SO build sheet.

When restoring my Seville I searched everywhere for the exact carpet and could not duplicate it. Several suppliers, with extensive experience,  knew exactly what I was describing, but they did not know of anyone producing it.

Before you give up, I suggest you try these folks.  I
would at least call and talk with them as they are
considered the tops in the country:

Both will be happy to send you samples of what they
have available.

Michael,

The tag reads 94 = Bahama Blue paint; 7 = Sabre (Medium) Blue Vicodec top; 53 Metallic Blue leather with paisley cloth. Your carpet and other trim items should be black as above. Attached are two pics of a friends car with trim 53 interior.

Try ACC carpets. I got my first set from Jenkins but when the body shop was welding on the car a spark landed on the carpet. Ordered the first set from ACC they said it was for a 55 Fleetwood but the cut was wrong refunded our money no problem . We sent the originals to them and they made them up fit perfectly. ACC was $400.00 cheaper in price and it was the exactly the same as Jenkins with a much shorter lead time then SMS or Jenkins.

P.S.ACC is Auto Custom Carpet

How is JC Whitney? Has anybody ordered carpet from them?

I found this carpet for $140 cheaper, because of the free shipping, than they offer over at ACC ... which I assume is ACCmats.com ?  Actually it's even cheaper because they are offering 10% off
