Steve,
I've been buying & referring customers for years. At first you had to pretend you had a Buick. Now I'm sure he doesn't care. BTW, I don't have a 38 switch.

Steve,

I've been using that trick for years, even on walk-ins...  ;)  Even went as far as using my friend's name who was President of the Buick Club for years...  ;). It avoids being charged Double and referred to as a Snob.  ;D

OK. You get a pass....No need to fabricate little white lies to get the crossover parts. Was this a ploy so it looks less conspicuous when ordering for your Caddy?  ;)

From owning and restoring Buicks and Cadillacs for over 35 years I learnt that there are many interchangeable parts. Parts stores would dismiss you out of hand if you were looking for something for Cadillac and I confused many when I told them these same parts would fit my Cadillac.  So as the years went on it was just easier to say it was for a Buick as there's much more of this stuff around and so much cheaper.  This column switch is a case in point, try to find anyone advertising that for a Cadillac, and at what price if they did?   I have seen before now track rod ends on eBay for Cadillac at up to $120 a pair. Just bought a pair listed for Buick for $8.50.  Same joints.
