Needing a good reservoir.  System seems to be  modified to disc brakes in front and no vacuum reservoir and brake light switch not working.

There is no such thing as a 1957 vacuum reservoir.  They were first used in 1958.  Not sure where you'd even install it in a '57.

1956 cars have one too. However, you are right, there is none for 1957. The vacuum reservoir is integrated with the booster. Gary should read his shop manual, this is explained.

Thanks for the answers. I had the booster rebuilt by Ed Strain who was the go to guy but I did talk to him about it and he is in the process of selling his business. I winder why the 1958 had one and not the 1957??  The manual covers both cars and I saw a booster in the booster in a picture and assumed it was for both cars?  I am using two new knees  and not into crawling under the car to look around. I am having low braking power and after only one stroke it seems to diminish.  I added a small plastic after market vacuum reservoir as that was all I could find quickly. It seemed to help a little bit when I drove it to the upholstery shop?  I have a young guy helping and he said I had front disc brakes, so I assume the system is compromised.

I wonder if I should add a reservoir?? Possibly the1958 version??

Simple:  two completely different power brake setups.  Hydro vac vs. Treadle vac.
