Installing the weather stripping on a 1965 Cadillac wing windows and after removal of the original material there is no adhesive residue.  Do I install the weather stripping with no adhesive or with adhesive?

Scott,

The originals had two barbs crimped on the rubber that held the rubber in the channel. The replacements do not, and I had to improvise buy shaving off the small longitudinal rubber ribs that fit in the groove. After successive approximation to get a satisfactory dry fit, I put a little adhesive in the bottom of the groove for security. I then taped the vent window closed so the rubber would take a set.
