Searching for a new distributor cap for my 30 Lasalle with 340 flathead v8.  Only one I've found online is $910 !!!  OUCH.

Would like to convert the car to 12V - anybody attempted that?

For less than that I converted an engine to crank triggered ign.. Coil packs,
no dist cap needed.  Ran better too.  But it required 12V negative ground
power.  There might reasons to make the 12V conversion, but the original
system can be made to serve the original needs.  In a conversion, the
devil is in the details.  Bruce Roe

Tom Van Meeteren in Nebraska has quite a bit of NOS ignition. Lots of Morris Tandu's inventory ended up here.   402-359-5762 ,   tsvanmeet@huntel.net . Let us know if he was able to help.  - Carl
