A friend of mine is restoring a 1937 LaSalle.   He found a very nice set of front fenders from a 1938 Cadillac 60 series (small model) and wold like to know if they are the same.  They look the same in pictures except for the vertical piece on 1938's which appears to be a bolt on item.

I don't know whether you could physically fit them but I have just checked both my 37 and 38 cars and there are many differences. The holes you speak of are because 38 carries its headlights sat on top the fender as apposed to the side of the front clip. Both years have a different shape where they meet the running boards and both have different shapes where they meet the front, 37 butts up against the front clip whereas 38 travel to meet the grill. Difficult to measure precisely but one seems to be 1" longer than the other and there are differences where the side panels attach, 38 having removable side panels.

I realize this is an old thread, but my '37 LaSalle came with an extra pair of front fenders in pretty good shape. I don't plan to use them even though they are better than the ones on my car so they are available.
