Hello to all , can somebody tell me where the extra bottle optikleen was originally to be fixed in a 1955 coupe de ville ?
I saw that there is a fixing device with the bottle , which is making a whole of sense .
Thank you for any input

My understanding is these were dealer installed, so they could have been mounted just about anywhere under the hood.

Thanks Dan , but theey were installed only under the hood " not in the trunk ?
Means that I need to drill holes somewhere Here the bottle will fit without risk of breaking .
Ok , will find q nice place then .

Yes, under the hood.  Usually on the inner fender near the washer jar

Patrick,
Attached is a placement diagram for a 1959.
It represents the location of the bottle and mounting bracket in the engine compartment.
Hope it helps.
Also, if you are trying to be period correct with the bottle and its label, make sure what you have shown is for your 55, as the labels changed over time.
And, the lid on the bottle must also be correct.
Have fun,

I could be wrong, but I'm not certain that this
product was sold by dealers in 1955 -- at least
I've never read nor seen anything about it.  You
may want to check further before drilling the holes!

I do think there was a Kleer-View for 55-58, at least I've seen the label that went on the bottle, while I was looking for the same thing for my 59.
Have fun,

Hi Mike and Steve ,
You guys are great !
I made my research and you were rifht . It was keer view and not opticlean .
I found a bottle with bracket all original in California on ebay . Just need to change the sticker .
Thank you very much for your advice to make my car really original .
Cheers
