Barry,
Hi. That car looks like it was underwater at some point in its life. But then if it was, I guess it wouldn't run so well. Man, that is A LOT of surface rust and in weird spots  ???

This is a tweener.  Frankly, I have not seen that much rust on the engine in a long time. Being from Florida does not mean much.

Nobody  is restoring 73 Fleetwoods.  But it is not nice enough to be a driver, that's why I say tweener.

Still triple black 73 Cadillacs are very cool.

My guess is it lived near the beach.

Really glad to have made you guy's day...  I had a friend who bought one of these new. It had some transmission troubles and before he was through, Harold was threatening to drive it through the showroom window. I think he traded it in for a Lincoln.

73 GM models had an issue with ‘mixers’ where transcooler leaks and water and trans fluid mixes. We had 2 new 73’s and both cars had that  issue. The dealer saw so many of them they coined the term ‘mixer’.

In late June through (now) September 20ish, you are correct. But triple black is one of those awesome opportunities in collector cardom.
