Hi all,

on a 1948 Hydramatic I need to change the end seal ( the one next to the propeller shaft). It would be nice to have a new one at hand before taking out the leaky one. Can anyone tell me the designation/ description of the seal and where to find it?

Thanks - Hilmar.

The GM part number seems to be 861 4102.

I did an online search and a couple of places confirmed that is the seal for the extension housing.  But I did not find any place to buy one.

If you go to a bearing supplier like Kaman Bearing they may be able to find on for you.
