Folks I am in the market for 1940 thru 1948 Cadillac 346 flathead engine parts

firstly, a flex plate with a decent ring gear and

secondly, a good set of con rod bolts.

If some body knows where new con rod bolts can be had, I'd be please to know...

Thanks,
            Russ.

Bill,
I have to fill Russ's order of early ones first. What year motor do you have?
Please advise.

It is a 37 LaSalle. The rod bolts were changed to the later hex head style.

They were god awful tight and I actually had to grind the head off one to get it out.
I would like about three or four of each if possible.

Also a good used camshaft for the same engine-think they were the same for many years, maybe you can confirm that for me. Bearing journals are extremely worn.

Thanks Bob

I now have con rod bolts thanks to Bob, but still seeking a flex plate.

If anybody has any leads, please share them.

This is what one does look like.

Thanks Bob for trying to help!

I am still in need of con rod bolts. Particularly the early long ones. I would like to have 4 or 5 of each if possible.

Folks, I am still after a flex plate, it measures 15 5/8" outside of teeth diameter.

Harry S, please start your own thread or use PM's, I don't like mine being hijacked thanks...

Gosh Russ, didn't mean to step on your toes or offend. There is a flex plate on ebay now that may suit your needs:

That's a bit harsh. Harry was only trying to help someone AFTER you had got the bolts you wanted. Besides it was Bill who 'Hijacked' it in the first place and we are all just trying to help each other here after all.

Man, What's up with that..... Kinda rude, don't 'ya think? Why don't you just go to All Cads or someone who has them in stock if you're that desperate for one. As Steve pointed out, we all try to help one another out here. No need to get bent out of shape.....

Sorry guys, not bent out of shape or even upset, but I see things going off topic on my specific thread and feel side chatting should be done with a PM or ones own thread.
No one likes their thread to lose focus when they are seeking a specific item.
Things are still all good with you Harry after all we all share the same passion of Cadillac's...

The ebay item mentioned is not even Cadillac, I have advised the Seller but he has decided to stick with his Title. Seems it is SOLD now any ways.

I don't need another engine and trans, although it seems one can't but want more.

Next time if I have something on my mind I will PM it.
