Eric

Hi everyone,

I want to change my 49 FW windows to electric & one piece, can anyone help me out by suggesting a motor and where to purchase. Online hopefully.

Thanks
Eric

Does one piece refer to the regulator or to eliminate the wing window?

Hi Eric,
JC Whitney sells kits to convert to power windows, about $350 for a 4dr, I don't know how the quality is. If I bought an older Cadillac without power windows I would buy them and put them in.
In the picture the drivers door shows only a single button switch, I know years ago the kits they had had a 4 button switch for driver s side, the catalog they mail you may have more details.

Check any of the street rod magazines. They've usually got more than one supplier of a kit. Mike Freeman

Are any of these power window kits 6 volt, or will those of us who have late 40's cars have to convert to 12 volt systems?
Thanks,
Whit

Street rod kits are 12volt as far as I've seen. Sorry
