I tried to post a photo on this forum( CLC) by draging an dropping like I do with email
It does not work.  I try to limit my exposure to web sites.  Does the CLC forum allow
posting photos directly form my computer files like I can with email?

As Gary said, you can attach pictures to the the end of a post by clicking on "Attachments and other options".
You'll need to save the picture from your email to your computer first, then select it with the "Choose File" button.

Come to think of it, is there some sort of a graphical tutorial on how to attach pictures somewhere on the boards? I don't think there is ... that'd probably be a big help to some of the folks that have trouble with computers ...

There's other ways, too. The following might not be a good solution for you (slightly complex & involved), but I'll write it up here anyway for other people that are looking or searching:
Imgur (www.imgur.com) is a very popular free image hosting site. It's amazingly unintrusive, and doesn't do that broken-link thing that photobucket used to do.
Try going to imgur.com , uploading a picture, getting the URL (click on the picture and get the link directly to the JPG after it's uploaded) and use it here

Here's an example where I did it:

You just embed the image directly inline with the text with an IMG tag, something like:

Which is generated with the line:

Code: [Select]
[img]http://i.imgur.com/HlHcZ.png[/img]
You can also force pictures to go to a different width/zoom than 100%. This used to make them look terrible, but these days, browsers will resample the image in place to make it look OK.

For example, I can take this wide picture:

and force it down to a smaller size like this:

You can do this by putting a special extra piece of info in the IMG tag:
Code: [Select]
[img width=300]http://i.imgur.com/NELgP.jpg[/img]

Gary, Thanks for your help here.  I did manage to post a photo under  "WANTED".
I am not very computer savvy, and as much as computers are an immensely useful tool; I
much prefer hands on time on my old car to punching the keyboard on my computer....
