Thanks for checking.  My family, friends and I are ok.  The damage zone is about 5 miles south of me.  I volunteer on the disaster mortuary team so it was a long night.  Recovery has begun today and, although it sounds funny, it could have been much worse.  Thanks for thinking of us.

I'm glad you're ok Jim. We got some of it near Joplin and just a lot of rain and power outages here in SW Missouri. My thoughts & prayers to those in Oklahoma.

Jim,

Just horrible.  Puts life into perspective for sure.  Worrying about a source for 1.6 inch whitewalls seems a bit silly when people have lost everything.

I guess donating to the Red Cross is about all we can do from a distance.

It's great of you to volunteer your time for what must be a difficult task.

Indeed,  We fuss over our cars, but in the end it is all about people.

Thank you everyone for your emails and texts of support and genuine care.  All of my circle of family and friends made it through without incident.  Our Disaster Mortuary team was released early and that is a good thing.  We had planned for up to 300 fatalities and wound up with only 24 which is absolutely astonishing once you see the extent of the devastation.  Oklahomans are resilient and the cleaning up and rebuilding process has already begun.

Hello Jim

I'm glad you are alright.

My condolences to those that have experienced fatalities or damages. I hope the recovery is swift.
All good men own a Cadillac but great gentlemen drive a LaSalle. That is the consequence of success.

Jim, lucky indeed. Ive friends and family that live in Piedmont. Our prayers go out to our Ok neighbors.
Dig out the wallet boys, and throw down a few bucks.
