I just didthe I84 to 684 to 287w route home today crossing the Hudson via the Tappan Zee bridge. Did the I95 route up on Friday and todays trip was sooooooo much more pleasant!!!!  Even got home to NJ before dark (5 hours) which was critical since my headlights quit on me last night coming back to the GN hotel after leaving Boston!

What a show!!!  What great people!!!!!  What a great trip in the 75 convertible!!!!!!  We are hooked on the GN!!!!!

Left Sunday am, and about 30min later I remembered I wanted to tight a fender skirt up. We pulled over and tries to leave, but Mack wouldn't start period. Jim in his 61 saw us and pulled in to lend a hand. He hauled Cadillac Widow to parts store and we were on our way after a 3hour delay.

I've got some pics. The problem is I can only upload 1 or 2 at a time due to file size restriction of 5000 KB. Here's a couple. I'll load up some more tomorrow.

Mike:

The Jim to whom you make reference was probably Jim Eccleston.  Jim is also a moderator/administrator of the message board.

No problems with size, just takes a bit longer to upload your end, download my end.   But if you do it during your daytime, the internet will work its' magic whilst I am asleep.

I will leave my computer on overnight.

I was told we had 309 cars at the event. Someone drove over 3000 miles from Washington. Wow. We had a few cars for sale there in the car corral. All the convertibles were between 64k, and 110k.

Bill, That's right. In his 61 Batilac, very nice car, and one heck of a nice guy.. Cadillac Widow enjoyed riding in the 61.

Roger that Bruce. Will do.

Mike (or anyone): there is a simple procedure you can do resizing your pictures for posting on the forum. If you use a Windows system, just right click on your picture and select 'Edit' from the drop down menu which should bring it up in the Paint program. If you look on the top you should see 'Resize' as a menu option, click on it and change 'Horizontal [100]' in the pop up window to about 50, then save it (if the number isn't 100 you probably need to change the option right above it from 'Pixels' to 'Percentage'). This should easily reduce the size of your pictures to half (or less if you chose to). If you have a Macintosh computer I can also give you instructions.

Here's the front end. We were surprised to find out at the banquet that we'd won 2nd place in the Touring Division.

Thanks for the suggestion. We did the first part of this, stayed on I-81 into TN, then picked up I-40 & 75.  Worked good for those of is on the NW IDE of Atlanta, and way better than te traffic and low speed limits on I-95.

Paul,

There's several variations on that route down I-81.  For the NW Atlanta area the way you went is the best.  I live in NE Atlanta and sometimes come down I-81 to Wytheville VA, I-77 to Charlotte and I-85 home.  A more scenic variation is I-81 to Johnson City TN, then I-26 over the mountains to Asheville NC, then I-40 and, I think, US 64 to Franklin NC and US 441 and I-985 to 85 home.

What a driver. I recall a couple of waiter and waitress staff looking her over when I snapped some pics.
