Thought I'd say, Hello and post a few pictures of my Father's 1941 60S I've been maintaining for him for several years. Recently, I went through the engine, which had about 2,000 miles on a rebuild, due to a failed rear main that also caused the clutch to fail and numerous cosmetic issues. I used this site to get the part number for the Mercedes seal. It runs better than ever and, remarkably, doesn't leak a drop while running.

Nice looking vehicle. I notice you have a  power steering pump on it what details do you have as to what the pump is off and what did you use for a control valve and hydraulic cylinder or any other info you have on this installation. I am thinking it should work on a 1947.

This was a kit my Father bought some years back and I installed around 2007. Not sure of the pump brand. It has a power rack and pinion that I believe is a Ford unit. I'll do some digging and see what I can find for more information or at least who put the kit together and where he sourced it from.

Matt,

Who did the overhaul on your engine?  Is that recent as well?

No, it wasn't recent. It was done by a shop in Norwalk, Ct that's gone now. The engine sat, un-pickled, for about ten years. It was supposed to go into another car. The rebuild was fine, but sitting gave it some issues after it was installed. Mainly a rear main seal that turned to oily lint and leaked profusely.
The car is a driver and couldn't be due to the issues.

Thanks Matt on replying to my question about the power steering installation. I am very interested in any details you can find on what you did and what parts you used. Any details that you can supply on what you used for the pulleys etc. would be appreciated. Len Sholes.
