Hello, does anyone know if there is a difference between an A/C car gas tank and a non A/C gas tank for a 59 coupe deville? I want to install the A/C gas filter bowl on my non A/C engine so I can run a vapor return line back to the tank. I recently had a vapor lock situation due to some bad gas and the vapor return could have helped stop that. I just don’t know where to run the line to? Any pics would help. Has anyone done this with success against vapor lock?

The sender is different if your car has Tri Power or AC it has the return line on the sender.

Brian is correct. The sending unit is different. I do not believe there is a difference in the gas tank itself. The return line on my A/C car runs right along side the main line on the right side of the car. You may need larger brackets two hold both lines.

Check the tank.   There maybe another pipe plugged half coupling near top that can be used.     I think they put them in the SS replacement tanks.   That's how the earlier A/C ones vented.   Should be metal line(grounded) so no fire/static issue.
