Hello Forum!

Been driving around my 1976 Fleetwood for the past two weeks, and the car's been great. Just today, sitting at a light, I head a weird, sporadic rattle coming from the A/C Programmer just over the passenger's feet. The A/C Head Unit is in OFF, and the temp dial is set to max cold.

With the car running, I pinched off each individual vacuum line going to the unit. Purple, orange, etc. etc. When I finally got to BLACK, the noise stopped.

There is a continuous sound of suction coming from this unit with the car running. Squeeze off black again, the sound (and rattle) stops.

Any suggestions? Do I need to change anything out inside the Programmer? It genuinely sounds for all the world like something lightly banging into a fan. Ding-ding, dingdingding, ding....

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to get the car back to being deliciously quiet ASAP.
