Have a piece of interior wood on my Escalade that sits on the upper
door (next to the window).  From sunlight (I believe) the veneer has
started to delaminate, crack and fade.  No parts available for this piece,
so I'd like to get it restored.

Does Anybody know a person who specializes in this work?  I found
a few with a quick Google search, but I'd rather go with somebody
that you folks know does good work.  Thanks,

Mike

Your other choice is to find the GM part number, then go to parts voice or vintage parts. This can be hit or many times miss but worth a try.

https://www.partsvoice.com/

https://www.vpartsinc.com/

They can locate stale part numbers in dealer inventory or places that bought up dealers old parts that they got rid of.

I had success finding a few parts in these places. The key is to get the GM part number. Often you can find it on many GM parts sellers websites where they of course state that the part is not available but it gets you the part number. Or call your local Cadilllac dealer, they can at least get the part number.

About 5 years ago I found the vinyl molding for my 1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88 coupe that separates the vinyl roof from the sheet metal. I wish it was cheap chrome but they switched to this when they changed the rear roof lines. I think I got the last 2 NOS unpainted pieces left in the USA. Actually they had 2 rights and 1 left.  I got one of each, they cost me $75.00 each but they disintegrate in the sunlight now. I have not replaced the originals yet, but soon since now instead of one crack in them they have multiple cracks and will fall off soon as they melt in the hot sunlight.

I have seen a few of these cars like new otherwise with 12K miles on them missing these pieces.

Unfortunately, the GM part number route is not an option.  This was
part of a dealer add-on (custom package) and the firm that did the work
in 2004 is out of business.  That's why I'm looking to have the part redone.
