Dear all in this forum,

I have purchased my 1956 CdV 2 1/2 years ago and today I have encountered the first while not serious but unpleasant problem. Not bad, I would say.

The U shaped horizonal stabilizer bar underneath the front axle, connecting the horizontal sway bars at each wheel is broken just left of the left bracket on the front cross member. So I am in the need of this stabiliser bar. Anyone here that would be willing to sell this to me? Thanks for reading and your time. Great forum here!

Attached a picture of what I mean (but from a modern car).

Best,

You can get a replacement one from OPGI.com  {Original Parts Group Inc.}
For used original, try the caddy junk yards in AZ.
Since you're out of the country maybe better to order new.

I have a '55 Coupe De Ville. I got a heavier duty than stock sway bar from Quickor Garage in Portland OR. Go to  www.quickorgarage.com
I also got a custom made rear sway bar.
Tell Glen I sent ya.
