I found a couple pairs of NOS cylinder head temperature sensors. Heater turn on for the passenger side head and temperature warning for the drivers side cylinder head.  $75.00 each or $140.00 for the pair plus shipping.

Hi Greg

I would like to buy the one behind the alternator if you still have it?

"Cadillac Kid" Greg Surfas 15364

Oscar I am pretty sure I still have one, but let me check this AM.

Oscar I just braved the chill of Winter (41 degrees F) and went into the garage and looked. Yes I do have a couple. Please PM me.

Brian,
They started using them in 1969 I believe and they were still in use in 1980. The actual turn on temperatures varied between 90 and 120 degrees during that period, but for all practical purposes they were the same.

I believe in the 4100 era they were still using them but changed to a metric thread so there could be more variables that more or less look the same.

That's the issue TJ.  A lot of what you see for sale are not the same temperature range or thread type, although they look identical.  The temperature numbers (set temp) are scribe d on the wrench flat of the sensor indicating the temperature at which the contacts close.
