Hello All,

I am looking to replace the carpet in my 1969 Deville. Would the proper replacement be a 80/20 loop? If not, what should it be if I am aiming for original?

Thanks
Dave

Only the Calais series used loop pile. All other used a cut pile.
Your car might still have original carpet on the lower doors, back/bottom edge of the front seat to use as a guide if the original floor carpet is gone

I have tried samples from Stockinteriors.com they send them pretty fast.

Mine is not 80/20, probably a plush cut if not ultra, try their samples. Samples are free but standard order dont be surprised of insanely high shipping cost.

Thank you all for your responses. The lady at stock interiors said the stock was 80/20 loop and it just didn't seem right.

Would Ultra Plush be too much? I am trying have it as stock as possible.

My existing carpet was matching more with just the plush cut. Best is to just email them and get all samples in the color you need.

I never had a Calias, but all the 1968-73 DeVilles and Fleetwoods I had over the years were originally fitted with cut pile carpeting.
