To all us Flathead Owners.....RockAuto is basically giving away Gates Belts for our cars. Just punch in your size. They're ribbed, but not too much else available. They're between $2.00-$7.00 each, normally just under $20. I use an alternator on my '47, so I'm running a TR28498 for that belt. Even if you have "Show" Belts, at this price you can't beat it for trunk spares.

Type in the belt number in the search box starting with "TR" which is Gates's first two letters for that style belt. Some of them were less than $2.00!  You can tell the cardboard sleeves are older so people are probably trying to deplete their stock for that style belt. Hope this helps.....

Bobby B,
Thanks for the heads up.  I found belts for my Lasalle. One was $1.65 and the other was $5.08.  Let's just hope they're worth all that I spent.

Hello Wes, I have a 1940 Lasalle and could use some spares. What are the part numbers of the belts you bought? Thanks,  Tom,

Tom,
I just bought the ones that came up from the search by Part Catalog tab.  Although, I see today the belts I bought are no longer included in the results.
I honestly don't know if the ones I bought are going to fit/work or not and was planning on trying them this weekend.  I can let you know once I get out in the garage and try to put them on the car.

If you want to take a chance the part numbers are:
Fan Belt: 28347  measures 7/8 x 34.7 inches. $1.65
Generator & Water Pump: TR28480 measures 25/32 x 48-5/8 inches. $5.03
which you can find by using the search by part number tab.

The one that come up in the search by Part Catalog are a bit different.  They only list the generator / water pump belt, TR30484, 7/8 x 49, $18.92
and AC Delco TR30484, .94" x 48.97" $21.99
