Need a 1942 trunk emblem!

Stupidly I installed the incorrect one and its radius is inbeded in my new paint job and the correct one is smaller.

That's a '47, Dave.  A 1942 is almost "square". Very stubby wings to the sides of the crest.

Here is picture from authenticity manual. I don't know why the 60 Special is different but according to manual it has the word Fleetwood is slanted block letters chromed emblem.

Ah ok thanks. Dad thought it may be a 41 or 42. Not sure why he would have had a 47? Sorry couldn't help ya.

Fleetwood models in that era always had thing just a little different to set them off. And usually, the change was a very refined one. The exceptions were (coincidentally your model 67, Gary) in 1941 and 1942 when they called them "Fisher" bodied cars but put Fleetwood on the cowl body tag. Check yours and see if it doesn't have "Fleetwood" on the cowl.
