I have a new set of NOS AC44 plugs. Would they be OK to install into my 57 cadillac 365ci? I dont want to put in the wrong plugs.

I would not use them except for show.

I did a fairly detailed article in the SS on this issue and seems that these plugs after sitting in god knows what environment are suspect and may not work properly. I have changed all my old Cads and LaSalle to Autolite and they run better than a NOS plugs.

Run at your own risk is my opinion.

I have a number of boxes of NOS 44s and use them in my Nova and Caddys.  Never had a problem....but they are not all rusted like some I've seen ;)
Oh, they are being reproduced now for I think $60 or so a box.  Chuck

In the 1950's I bought AC 44's for the 1958 and AC 45's for my 1959 Pontiac. Within 2,000 miles each car would develop a miss attributed to a defective plug. I switched to Champion RJ12's and never had a bad plug thereafter. AC's quality control was suspect back then.
