Ive found a few sites on the Web that do Northstar Conversions on older Cadillacs that didnt originally have the Nortstar engine. Actually they claim they have also put them in cars that arent Cadillacs (Pontiacs, etc)

Needless to say... it is an expensive project, somewhere I believe in the area of 8 to 10 thousand (and that is with a used or rebuilt engine).

Just wondering if anyone in the club has ever done this, or do you know someone who has? If so, can you share any information?

I would be concerned about the low low-end torque of the Northstar in the heavier older cars.  Plus, the rear axel gearing of the older cars, 2.93ish, would be tougher on the Northstar.  It is used to 3.11 or 3.71 in a lighter car.

But I do not know for sure.

Probably a better bet would be a performance built 472/500 as a replacement or a drive train out of a mid 90s LT1 Fleetwood Brougham.

Now the Northstar or Supercharged 3.8L V6 would do well in a lightweight hot rod coupe though.
