Heres an interesting website with a lot of information regarding Detroits many auto factories over the years.

Thats an interesting website.  Also search for: "The Fabulous Ruins Of Detroit".  It has a link to the remaining Detroit factories and their usually deplorable condition.  Liberty Motor Cars plant closed recently.  It had been a Budd facility for decades and produced body panels for the original Thunderbird and Continental Mark II.
