1940 Cadillac Hood Striker Assembly Wanted

Just acquired a 1940 Cadillac Series 62 Coupe.  It needs a hood striker bar assembly.  I have the latch and hood ornament which attach to the striker bar, but no striker bar and its supporting parts.  Thank you.  Ed Buliavac

Yes Brad, that is it exactly, thank you for posting the picture.  I need the bracket that goes from the radiator to the platform behind the grille and the stainless striker bracket as well.  They seem to be part of the same assembly.  Thanks again.  Any suggestions on where to find would be much appreciated.  Ed

I think you will find thats just plain steel painted not stainless Ed. least mine was.

The picture is a 60S and not a 62 series.  The bracket from the radiator is a little different on the 62 series but the concept is the same.  I have an extra striker bracket but not the piece attached to the radiator support.  Email me directly on the striker.  brad@ipsengarage.com
