Title: Item found in 1948 Cadillac Series 62
Post by: zyrtecx on June 15, 2017, 07:17:25 PM
I recently purchased a 1948 Cadillac Series 62 in the Cincinnati, Ohio area as a parts vehicle.
As I was cleaning out this vehicle I found under the front seat what appears to be some
type of maker, I have no idea what it is.
So what I'm asking donee anyone know what it is? (Photo attached)
Thanks for any help in advance!
Toby

If it's very thin tin with numbers punched in it looks like what I see a lot attached to the underside of seat springs by the manufacturer to denote what car and model the spring base is for.

This piece is a over an inch thick and made like a brick, on the other side it looks like
it has been baked.

1" thick??    Not automotive at all I'll wager.
