Bend at the knees, Boys, bend at the KNEES!

Boy I would love an all-steel body!

Looks like a lot of fun!  It will be a big project, but at least it is mostly complete.

Try that same method when you go to lift your engine  :D
The bracket idea sounds like it would have the least potential to do damage.

That looks great. We are right about at the same point in our restorations. It is really interesting to see the differences and similarities in both of our cars over just a one year period in production. Keep it up, I am jealous of that V-16 it looks amazing!

Hopefully Valley industrial will work out for you. I should have my frame back by Tuesday if you want to see how things turned out.

Thanks for the pictures KD.  I have basically the same car too, but mines a "driver" since it sat in a junkyard for 50 years and the engine went MIA.  If for some crazy reason you decide you want to sell that engine I would love to have it ;)
If you want to exchange numbers or emails PM me.  I may have some tips.  My project right now, I just got the door trim rechromed and I'm trying everything to attach them to the door.  Make sure you save those trim clips, they don't make them anymore.

The frame is going to the powdercoaters this week, then I'll start putting it back together. That is where the fun (and $$$$$) are.

were the guys over at Valley Industrial able to help you out? My frame is back and I am incredibly excited about it. It looks fantastic. I put a few pics online, but the suns reflection makes the gloss seem higher then it really is. It is the perfect 60/40 mix. Anyway, hope all is going well with your project. Glad to see your making progress. :)

KD

I just took the body to the sand blasters and then it's going to the painters. By the time it comes back to me , I'll have the frame reassembled (I hope)

Hey Ken,

Where did you end up sending the body to be blasted? As you saw when you were out here I have to send mine off soon. How did things turn out with Cole? Glad to see things are going well with your project. :)
