I am surprised there have not been more responses for this car at this price.  I would hate to have to donate it to a museum for tax credits rather than see it go to someone who could enjoy it thoroughly.

Greg,
This is a nice message board but... there are VERY few serious buyers. You need to get some good exposure. HMN, Ebay, Craigs list, maybe the Self Starter.

Very true, Bob. Not enough of an audience. You never know who's looking in the big bad world out there. Some sneeze at Ebay. I've had many half way around the world push the buy it now button at 3am, sight unseen with no hassle.

Not to beat a dead horse, but one last time.  I've got a Grand daughter turning 16 soon, and if the car doesn't sell, I plan on driving it back to LA and giving it to her.  Bet I'll be the favorite Grandparent.  If someone out there wants a great car, make me an offer.

Matt,

Thanks for the plug.

Greg,

I have had pretty good success marketing member and non-member cars thru our website, newsletter, CLC Discussion Forum and CraigsList.  If you are interested, send me an email at vincetaliano@clcpotomacregion.org and we can discuss further.

Thanks.

Greg,

Giving the car to your granddaughter is generous and a nice idea, but...

My 16 year old son really has to be supervised starting a carburetor car even in good repair like yours.  He still does not get the when to pump, when it is flooded, and etc.  Have to monitor the slam the door thing.  You wonder how people operated them years ago.  My son really enjoys the 1970 Sedan deVille.  He did not know you don't start a car to move it six feet, you don't turn on the a/c at high speed, no eating chocolate bars (like he did in his Mother's Suburban), and etc.  You may not like how the Eldorado looks after it has been parked outside for a while in the custody of a young new driver.  It is unlikely that your granddaughter has a garage awaiting a car.

Hang in there, it will sell.

You should let someone help you sell it.  Mechanically perfect means a lot to me coming from you, but most buyers don't know you and that is their loss.  If you list it on e-bay, show the grand overall impressive presence in a few shots, the interior, and then of course all the shots of the engine bay, door jams, wheels wells, under carriage, and other critical spots any serious buyer would be interested in.  List the condition of all the critical mechanical systems and what has been done, such as timing chain, tires, a/c works, cruise works, and all.  Look at some of the adds of the successful sellers.

Good luck,

Scot

If I had some extra money right now I would buy it, I just don't.

First, advertise it in the CLC magazine = if it doesn't see there then try "Bring a Trailer"...

Nice Car.
