I have the MITYVAC 7201.  It's one of the best things I every bought.  Makes oil changes fun!.  I use it on my 56 to drain the filter housing.  Still drop oil in that using the plug!  My other cars, I never get on the ground!  BACK TO TOPIC...

I used it for oil and tranny fluid and I would suppose gasoline is fine too (reviewer said he used it for gasoline).  Just be cautious to do it in a ventilated area away from ignition sources.

I tried to siphon using a hose and my mouth when I was a kid....  I'll never forget getting gasoline in my mouth.  Young and dumb!
